Independent MMO Game Developers Conference
I just returned from a really exciting event. My wife and I led a roundtable about text games at the IMGDC. We were very pleasantly surprised by how packed our roundtable was. People seem to still be very interested in text games!
I am more energized than ever about Threshold, Primordiax, and the other games we have in various stages of development.
I also got to meet some amazing people – like Dr. Richard Bartle. I am extremely glad we attended the conference and I can’t wait until IMGDC 4.0!
Have you found the holy grail of virtual world design? Did you try to convince Bartle to use his expertise and experience to create a graphics based MUD? Basically, how Bartle would have done EQ/WoW…
If you found the virtual world formula, let me be your prophet, I will preach in the Guild Wars capital cities of Lion’s Arch, Kamadan and Kaineng Center.
The world needs better MMOs! Go forth and create them! Or at least one. OK, maybe not the world either, but me for sure.
