XP Curve Changes - Faster advancement from level 5 through 30.
We found that advancement was significantly slower than we had expected. There are still a LOT of variables we do not know and things will change tremendously when we have a lot more players in game (this will eventually result in better gear, more grouping, better profession combinations in groups, more buffs, etc.). But the advancement rate was so slow that we decided to go ahead and adjust the xp curve again between levels 5 and 30.
This chart shows the old and new costs to gain a specific level, with an occasional sub-total showing the total amount of XP needed to go from level 1 to 10, 20, or 30:

The short version: gaining level 10 is approximately 50% less xp now (levels 8, 9, and 10 are the majority of the savings), gaining level 20 costs is about 25% less total xp, and level 30 is about 10% less total xp.
In response to player feedback, we have changed the xp values for mob killing and item crafting based for different cons (read: help con). The new values are listed in colorful detail in the new helpfile: help xp. Here they are:
Base XP Based on Con: Additional modifiers for NPC rank:
Grey: 0 (-) Minion: - 50
Green: 25 (*) Normal: 0
Blue: 75 (#) Elite: + 50
White: 100 (0) Champion: + 100
Yellow: 125 (@) Legendary: + 200
Red: 150
Purple: 175

More of the overland/outdoor world has been populated with mobs. The updated affected approximately 350,000 rooms in areas designed for players level 25 to 50. I don't think we have anyone who is even level 10 yet, but we are making sure we stay well beyond the curve. The level cap is currently 50 so this takes care of the overland for the near future.
